Themes are the main topics or ideas explored in a literary work. Once you're done with the character development, you can continue to list the main ideas or topics discussed in the story. Some common themes are love, betrayal, masculinity, death and loss. Choose one of the main themes in the story and write one or two on it. By doing this, your teacher further knows that you understand the story well.
