Doing more than what is expected of you
Successful students come in many shapes and sizes, yet they all have one thing in common. They do more than is expected of them. What distinguishes average students from exceptional students is the amount of effort they put into their studies.

It is a common misconception that students can succeed and prosper simply by doing all their homework. While this will help them do well on the knowledge sections of the tests and assignments, they will not be ready for the application and thinking sections. This means that even a student who did all of her assignments perfectly would still be challenged to reach more than 65% or 70% overall. As we've heard before, application and thinking questions are the key to success in high school, and they require effort and rigor to perform well.
Students who enroll in programs here will be assigned homework in addition to the ones signed in class along with the lessons. The idea is to practice a variety of problems so that there are no surprises on the exam. This will help develop disciplined and effective study habits to meet the new challenge of thinking questions that students may not have seen before. While there is no simple "silver bullet" solution to getting good grades, daily practice and hard work should pay dividends in the end.
