Action First, Motivate Later
Many of us often feel the need to "feel" productive before going to work. This is because it is often a greater psychological hurdle to get us to start a project than to finish it. A common method that I like to use is to convince yourself to start working for just 5-10 minutes and see how you feel afterwards. More often than not, once students get started, they build momentum and see their work completed.
